The Calle 88 Beach Access is a beach located in the Colosio neighborhood of Playa del Carmen. People typically park on the calles around the access, since access to the actual beach are is restricted to pedestrians and bikes.

This has been designated a Blue Flag Beach, so there are bathrooms and showers at this beach access. The immediate entrance is usually cleared from seaweed occasionally, but it isn't as clean as some of the hotel or business beachfronts.

Since this beach is away from Centro, it is usually quieter. While some tourists from the nearby hotels find their way here, you'll usually see it frequented by the neighbors from the area. Lots of families enjoying the beach, with fruit and food vendors passing by on occasion.
