El Taj

El Taj is located along the beach in Playa del Carmen, right off of Quinta Avenida.

This part of the beach in Playa del Carmen has many fishing boats that have been here for years, long before Playa was transformed from the sleepy fishing town into the growing city that it is today.

Due to the "cove" that El Taj is located in, it can take a while for sargassum to leave this area once it arrives. But as it's central to Playa del Carmen, you can usually find a clean beach after a short walk if there happens to be seaweed at the time.
